As world enlightenment rises to save our planet from the abuse that has been running rampant for decades now, one man finds a unique way to help recycle. Recycling is something we should all be doing, there really isn’t any excuse when our oceans are getting clogged up with plastic and our marine life is dying.
For one man in Brazil, he has taken recycling to a whole new level. He has taken to the streets to remove some of the garbage that litters his town. Amarildo Silva Filho, takes a certain type of trash off the street and not only recycles it but also brings comfort to stray animals in the process.
The 23-year-old handyman and artist was working at a grocery store but couldn’t ignore the ever mounting trash on the streets.
Feeling like he wasn’t properly fulfilled with his current job, he turned his attention to what he really wanted to do — help the environment and needy animals.
He started taking the littered tires off the streets and upcycling them into the most beautiful beds for stray animals to rest.
Over the last two years the talented artist has turned more than 6,000 tires into comfy animal beds and some he even turns into planters. It takes less than an hour to wash, cut, and design animal beds out of the old tires. He even adds the animal’s name to some of the beds.
He is not only cleaning up his own environment, but he has such a high demand for these recycled tires that he is considering employing others to help fill the orders. Amarildo has filled orders from all around the world.
His new hobby/career has been a life fulfilling dream for him. He has been able to take his heart’s desire to help clean up the environment with his love for needy animals. His success is a win for everyone. Needy animals, our planet, and Amarildo’s dreams are all being helped.
The efforts of just one young man have created change in a world that needs it. Cleaning the environment, giving animals a bed, and living your life’s purpose, is the best outcome one person could ever hope for. Hat’s off to Amarildo for creating change at such a young age, may he inspire us all.
