Dolly Parton has decided to stop travelling so she may spend more time at home with her husband

Dolly Parton is well-known in both the country music and celebrity circles. Despite having spent the most of her life dancing and singing, the Tennessee native has become nothing short of a legend, and she has enjoyed entertaining her legions of followers. Although she continues to create new music, the 76-year-old music legend has recently stated that she will no longer tour.

Dolly Parton recently addressed why she will no longer be touring in an interview with Pollystar. She commented: I occasionally give original performances. Perform a few gigs, either at a festival or over a long weekend.

However, I no longer plan to embark on a full-fledged tour. Instead, the 76-year-old country music queen plans to continue writing songs and spend more time with her loving husband, Carl Thomas Dean. In 1964, Dolly and Carl Dean met in front of the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Nashville, Tennessee. Carl was 21 years old at the time, while Dolly was 18. Carl immediately noticed something distinctive about the young lady.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dean stated, “I’m going to marry that girl,” when they first met. “Lord, she’s gorgeous,” I thought afterward. That was the moment I was born. I would not exchange the past 50 years for anything in the world.

In a 1976 interview with the New York Times, Dolly said Dean “holled” at her while sitting in his pickup truck and saw her. However, she declined his invitation to a date. Instead, she asked him over a few days later, while she was looking after her nephew. It signalled the beginning of a never-ending love story.

Dolly and Carl married privately in Ringgold, Georgia, in May 1966. Her record label urged them to postpone their wedding since she needed to focus on her profession. However, Dean and Dolly were impatient and planned to marry in Georgia rather than Tennessee so that no one would report their union.

There were only three individuals present: Dolly, Carl, and her mother. Since then, Dolly and Carl have been madly in love. In 2016, the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They decided to celebrate by renewing their vows.

They will now spend much more time together. In an interview with Pollstar, Parton described her trip experiences:

They will now spend a lot more time together. In an interview with Pollstar, Parton discussed her vacation experiences.

It takes a lot of time and effort, and I’ve been doing it all my life. I prefer to stay closer to home with my husband. We’re getting older, so I don’t want to go away for longer than four or five weeks at a time. Something can happen. I wouldn’t be happy if someone needed me while I was away.

If I had to end a tour early because I had a need at home and couldn’t leave the fans behind, I would be devastated. Dolly, have a good time! You have been so wonderful to us! Simply relax and take it all in! We’ll always love you.
