Jimmy Carter’s former wife, Rosalynn Carter, has supported him for a long time. Things are not always cheerful in the Carter household, despite the fact that they are still together and have a loving marriage at their North Carolina home.
As the Carter family previously revealed, Jimmy Carter is getting hospice care at home. Usually given to terminally sick patients, this type of at-home medical care focuses more on preserving the patient’s comfort than on curing them of an illness.
The Carter family has now learned further disheartening information. Rosalynn Carter’s family has disclosed her personal diagnosis. The 95-year-old former first lady has been diagnosed with dementia.
Considering that she fought for people with mental illness for a large period of her life, some find this strange.
Following Rosalynn’s diagnosis, the Carter family has not lost hope; Rosalynn “continues to live happily at home with her husband, enjoying spring in Plains & visits with loved ones.”
The statement explains Mrs. Carter’s individual outlook on life and “carers.” “There are only four types of people in the world: those who have provided care in the past, those who doing so now, those who will provide care in the future, and those who will need to do so,” the statement reads. Mrs. Carter frequently made this observation. “We do not expect to comment further and ask for understanding for our family and for everyone throughout the country serving in a carer role,” the statement’s final words said.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have been married for 77 years. It is realistic to suppose that they will stay married until the end of their life since they are still a happy couple.
